The AGILEHAND project aims to develop smart grading, handling, and packaging solutions for soft and deformable products, enabling more agile, flexible, and reconfigurable manufacturing and logistics systems. By combining artificial intelligence, advanced sensing, robotics, and digital optimisation technologies, AGILEHAND supports European manufacturers in improving product quality, operational efficiency, and responsiveness to changing production demands.
To achieve this vision, AGILEHAND has developed an integrated ecosystem structured around three complementary technology suites.
The Smart Sensing Suite enables precise and non-invasive inspection of delicate products, providing real-time information on their external characteristics and internal quality. This allows accurate grading, improved traceability, and reduced waste in production processes.
The Self-Adaptive Handling, Sorting, and Packaging Suite introduces flexible and intelligent robotic systems capable of safely manipulating soft and deformable products. These solutions enhance automation while preserving product integrity and supporting human operators in complex and dynamic environments.
The Agile, Flexible, and Rapid Reconfigurable Suite integrates digital technologies such as real-time monitoring, optimisation tools, and digital twins to enable adaptive control and rapid reconfiguration of production lines, ensuring efficient and responsive manufacturing operations.
This course presents the key technologies, system architecture, and industrial applications developed within AGILEHAND. Through real-world use cases, participants will understand how AI, robotics, and digital solutions can work together to enable smart, flexible, and human-centric manufacturing systems aligned with the vision of Industry 5.0.
This course is designed for engineers, researchers, students, and industrial professionals interested in advanced manufacturing, robotics, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation.
