AGILEHAND consortium and Tokyo University of Technology is organising the Joint International Conference of the 5th AGILEHAND Plenary Meeting & 2024 IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica Conference (APM&JAS). This event will be held on December 2-6, 2024 at Tokyo University of Technology and it focuses on the new ideas, research and works in progress within the fields of Advanced Manufacturing, Robotics, Automation, and Information Processing.

The objectives of this event are:

- to know the respective research that the AGILEHAND partners and some Japanese research group are carrying out;

- to evaluate possible areas of joint research;

- to make dissemination of the AGILEHAND project;

- publish in international indexed journal (scopus, or web of science, ...), indeed accepted paper will be published in IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica (IEEE/CAA JAS) as Letters (3 pages) and in Journal of Advanced Computational Intelligence and Intelligent Informatics (JACIII).

On June 10th was our 4th Plenary Meeting in Madeira organised by our partner UNINOVA, after 18 months of collaborative and effective work on Robotics, AI and data management, AgileHand Project solutions were presenting their first results on the production lines of our pilots.

AgileHand project has three sister projects it collaborates with. We had the opportunity to conduct a common workshop during the Madeira Digital Transformation Week. 

It was the opportunity to see what do contact lenses, sports equipment, oranges, and berries have in common. All these use cases were presented during this joint workshop "Integrating Flexible Robotics and AI for Adaptative Production Lines for Soft and Deformable products".

Additionally, we had a significant presentation on potential synergies among our four sister projects!

During the latest edition of the I-ESA conference, held in April 2024 in Chania, Crete, we had the opportunity to meet several active members of the AgileHand project. To learn more about their roles and work within the project, we conducted short interviews for our social media channels.
